Starting this blog with photos from 2010

Most of you know i have been staying on a friend's boat since May of 2010. She took these pictures on April 2, 2010. Figured i'd post them first just to show you where i have been living for a while. Changes have been made since then. I'll point some out. This is not a house boat, it is a real yacht that goes out on the Bay regularly. Pictures of beautiful scenes from such outings are to follow.

This is the guest room where i have been sleeping. It is small but adequate.

This is the guest room's bathroom (aka head).

This is looking up from the kitchen to the living room and up to the aft deck.

The kitchen table which also serves as an office. And sometimes as another bed! Just lower table down to seats and rearrange cushions and voila!

A view of the kitchen.

The living room. The archaic TV has since been replaced by a sleek flat screen.

The other side of the living room. The steering mechanism is a secondary working one.

Another corner of the living room.

The Captains's Quarters has much more room than the guest quarters.

The washer and dryer located in the little hall between the living room and Captain's Quarters. I choose to go to a laundry mat to avoid the wear and tear on these.

The aft deck. The clear plastic zip-up windows allows a panoramic view of the Oakland Estuary, Port of Oakland, downtown San Francisco and the island of Alameda. The zip-up function means it is easy to control the temperature. The rug has been replaced and there are now more cozy pillows!

The bridge, where the Captain performs her driving duties.
