January 22, 2011 - Beautiful Sunset from Jack London Square Marina

Beautiful sunsets are common place here at the marina at Jack London Square in Oakland, CA. I have taken many a picture of them. Here are a few pics of the Auntie Em, the boat i have been living on and the sunset looking out toward the Port of Oakland and the city of San Francisco.

The cranes at the Port of Oakland towards SF.

The Auntie Em is located behind the Waterfront Hotel.

Believe it or not it gets even more orange and ominous looking at times.

January 18, 2011 - LA to SF, the trip back

On the way back from LA we got hungry! Ayme had been to this place before and said it was good. The food was ok. Not outstanding, but considering it was this or fast food i found it totally adequate. What i DIDN'T know was how fun this place was!

If you are ever on Highway 5 in Central California take Exit 368 and go west on Panoche Road.

The environment here is where the Central Valley meets the Coast Range.

This place is more than a restaurant. It is essential a LUNCH BOX MUSEUM! Oh yeah, there are thermoses too! If you are of my general age group, you will love this place. I never knew this many lunch pails existed!

We went crazy with our cameras! There were hundreds if not thousands of these things on the walls above. People were looking at us funny taking pictures of these things, but who cares! Prepare for lunch pail OVERLOAD!

Just having been to Disneyland. This was the first one i took!

I actually had this one as a kid. Little did i know that someday i would be living on a boat where the main stars are gulls!

....and now Ayme's picks. She is 10 years older than me and focused on different ones.

I would have had that Beatles pail if i was a school age kid in the 60s!
